Emma was born and raised in Canadian cottage country where she learned to love and respect the great outdoors. She first became enchanted with Latin America when she was a 16-year-old volunteer in a poor community in Oaxaca, Mexico. After completing high school, Emma moved to Mexico for three years and learned to surf, speak Spanish, and immersed herself in the culture. At 23 years old she moved back to Canada to complete her undergraduate degree in Spanish, and her Master's Degree, on the beautiful Vancouver Island.
Emma first visited Costa Rica in 2017 on a surfing trip and shortly thereafter fell in love with the flora and fauna, deciding to stay – before joining RE/MAX We Sell Paradise she taught English here for five years. Her language skills, education, extensive knowledge of the country and Real Estate training with the Camara Costarricense de Bienes Raices make Emma an ideal candidate for helping you find the home of your dreams!
Emma is now a permanent resident and the mother of two beautiful children. When not spending time with her family she enjoys bird watching, hiking, and going to dance classes.
