Located in what feels like a cloud forest is this 18.28-acre reserve in La Florida, a small community outside of Las Tumbas and Tinamastes. The elevation at the property is 2500ft which gives you a nice cool climate while still living in a tropical place. You may not see the monkeys and sloths as often, but you will still be frequented by jungle animals that live high up in the cool mountains such as toucans and peccaries. And with being located at the end of a road you have great privacy.

The property faces northwest which gives you a beautifully unique view of the coastline all the way up to Manuel Antonio. The position also will ensure you have a direct view of colorful Costa Rican sunsets for part of the year. Two smaller flat homesites with no ocean view are located next to a stream on the property. Guests would be able to enjoy the sound of fresh running water from their rooms at night.

La Florida is a small community made up of locals and few ex-pats. The community sits on a ridge which is what gives it breath-taking views and a surprisingly cool climate for being just 45 minutes from the beach. You can find a simple market in town, but you will most likely need to do most of your errands in Tinamastes which is 15 minutes away. Tinamastes is one of the first ex-pat established communities in Costa Rica and is a lovely community to be involved with.
