Each bungalow is built on stilts; the rooftops are rhomboid in shape, high, slanted and with ample eaves. On the upper part of the walls, screens ease natural ventilation and also allow the sounds of the surroundings to come inside, day and night (Ex. the running stream, the rainforest animals, the rainfall and thunder, and much more). Ventilation is aided with a ceiling fan and a dehumidifier.

Maximizing the use of natural lighting is also a key practice. Its design is a modern take on the circular houses of the pre-Columbian ‘Boruca’ aborigines.
