Hi, my name is Michael Maassen

With experience in sales, construction, renovation, repair, inspection, and property management of Costa Rican properties over the last 14 years full time, Mike brings quite the toolbox to our team and customers.
Having a total of 36 years of Costa Rican experience, 22 as a vacationing fisherman every year and 14 as a full time resident of Ojochal, not only working but a vibrant member of the community, Mike is well versed in Costa Rican life and lifestyle.

After moving here full time in 2011 Mike and his Costa Rican wife Lily have worked hard raising their two children from elementary school right through to University with a wealth of information for those looking to raise a family in Costa Rica.
A volunteer track and field coach and photographer, Mike has been instrumental in helping many local children compete in and win local, national, and international events which has paid off great dividends in community’s overall picture all the while supplying the National
Athletic Federation (Fecoa) and it’s athletes with free souvenir photography of their events and
careers.
His love for photography extends to his love for hiking and biking and photographing wildlife and birds as well.
Mike is trilingual, speaking English, French and Spanish.
